Castle: Kill Switch (Review)

After last week’s episode, where the new couple went on their busman’s holiday honeymoon, this episode, Kill Switch has Castle taking the back seat and for once Javi Esposito is the focus of the show. Rick and Kate go to their first case as newlyweds and the two compare themselves to famous literary and film crime solving couples, Nick and Nora Charles, MacMillan and Wife, Hart to Hart and Kate’s last suggestion, Turner and Hooch. It appears that now the sweethearts have made it legal, Kate has gone back to picking on her new husband.

Castle Once Upon a Time in the West (Recap and Review)

In the latest episode of Castle, Once Upon a Time in the West, the show delivers what it does best, that perfect blend of murder and light comedy. Certainly it is early days in the marriage of Kate and Rick, but thus far the two getting married has not changed the interaction of their relationship, apart from saying “I do.” Richard Castle, writer and new husband of Kate, is still a big kid at heart and the plot taking “Caskett” to an Old West themed Dude Ranch allowed the author to let his, not so, inner child out.

Castle: The Time of Our Lives (Recap and Review)

Castle: The Time of Our Lives begins with a courier, with a silver briefcase handcuffed to his wrist, getting ambushed and murdered, along with his driver, and has his hand removed so the culprits can steal the case. Rick and Kate are in the kitchen discussing the fact that he cannot sleep and what their lives would be like if they had never met. This little exchange, where Martha comes in trying to decide whether she needs to audition for a Stoppard play, sets up the tone for the rest of the show.

Castle Married After ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ and Sony Link

Last night’s episode of Castle: The Time of Our Lives, was clearly a nod to the old Jimmy Stewart/Frank Capra classic Christmas film It’s a Wonderful Life but it looked like the plot contained a link to the planned Sony PS3 game big screen film of Uncharted. For those that may have forgotten, Naughty Dog, the game company who created the Uncharted franchise, with number four heading for a PS4 near you, announced back in 2011 that the adventures of Nathan “Nate” Drake, Victor “Sully” Sullivan and Elena Fisher would be coming to a cinema in the near future.

Castle: A Blip on the Internet Continuum (Review)

Castle: A Blip on the Internet Continuum (Review)

Castle this week looks at Internet celebrity and how fleeting any event is on the web “continuum.” Season seven of this popular Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic double act, along with the ensemble cast of Molly C. Quinn, Susan Sullivan, Jon Huertas, Seamus Dever, Penny Johnson and Tamala Jones has moved on from the wedding that never was in the beginning and has gotten back to making pertinent statements about society. The power of the writing and the show’s deft humor still delivers. When a web star from “Snappamatic” is murdered by “netslayer,” who then posts a photo of the dead celeb on his account – with the caption, “This star’s 15 seconds are over,” Team Castle and Beckett, or Caskett have to solve the crime before the killer can strike again. In this instance, however, they fail at first.
