Jazz Securo stars and directs the 2025 Thriller Thy Will Be Done. A gripping film you’ll be hard pressed to stop watching. Once those final credits have rolled there is a compulsion to watch it all over again. Everything works here. Great script, brilliant acting; with a dynamite turn by Courtney Gains, and a cracking score. This one has it all.

Thy Will Be Done Story
Detective Stefani Bennett uses a gift passed on by her late father. He was a detective and he used “his gut” to solve crimes. Stefani must also trust her gut to try and solve a slew of accidental deaths. Fatalities that she believes are actually vicious murders. She seeks help from her local Priest and the partner of her late father.

Let’s Talk Thy Will Be Done
This film has a plot line that would not be too out of place in the world of the 1995 film Se7en. There are, however, no outlandish death scenes. They are quite the opposite in fact. Someone is staging the deaths to look like accidents. The idea of deadly retribution for each victim, is fairly reminiscent of the older film.
The script by Michael Ferree, the fifth film written by him, is spot on in terms of dialogue and storyline. The cinematography and editing by Greg Kraus is crisp and gritty. The score is like that old breakfast cereal, it cracks and pops. Each musical piece fits the onscreen action beautifully.
The film is compelling from the very start. The pen and ink introductory scenes work perfectly. They lead us into the dour and tense opening in Death Row with ease. The combination of music, and yes we are talking score again, and action is nigh on perfect.
Cast is King/Queen
Securo is perfect as the Priest. A man whose parishioners are being taken out in alarming numbers. Bussell fills the shoes of a detective with an admirable reality. Her blending of the character’s “gift” works well and she manuevours the intricacies of this layered role carefully.

Doug Bradley exudes the air of “veteran cop” with a tired grace that speaks volumes. Huddleson feels like stepping into an old favorite pair of shoes. He is comfortable with his role of retired cop.
*I would have loved to see more Kurt Angle. He rocks his outstanding cameo with impressive skill.*
It Works
This one works. The pacing keeps the film from dragging. There is enough tension to keep one reaching for antacids, or a stiff drink. Both of these factors makes the film fly by. It has a runtime of 93 minutes but feels shorter.
The manners of death dealing are clever and varied. Another thing that works very well is law enforcement only seeing a certain amount of clues/facts at each crime scene.
It goes without saying that the way in which Detective Bennett pieces things together is impressive. The end result of which makes for a splendid twist in this tale.
The Verdict
Thy Will Be Done is one of the best films I’ve seen this year. As such, it easily earns a full 5 star rating. It is addicting and clever; an absolute gem in this genre. It is available to rent via Prime. Head on over and catch this one. You can thank me later.
