Dave Bautista is an unlucky assassin in The Killer’s Game. Due for release in September 2024, this action comedy looks like a winner. Lionsgate has got a full roster of films on offer this year:
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (Guy Ritchie and Nazis)
The Crow: Bill Skarsgård in the late Brandon Lee part. This has a projected drop date of August 2024. This is a remake that no one asked for and may not do well at the box office at all. Despite having the It and Boy Kills World star in the titular role.
Borderlands, another August drop date here. Starring Gina Gershon and Kevin Hart. The film, apparently, is not an adaptation of the popular video games.
More to come
While not quite an assembly line, the Lionsgate crew has more “coming soon” productions on offer. We are impressed with the amount of films that will be available either in the cinema or demand.
Dave Bautista, better known as a member of Guardians of the Galaxy, I, II, and III, has been spreading his metaphorical wings. He has been appearing in a number of action oriented films with at least one foray into the metaphysical with M. Night Shyamalan‘s Knock at the Cabin ; an apocalyptic horror/mystery.
The story of The Killer’s Game

In The Killer’s Game Bautista is a hitman, aka assassin by trade. He is diagnosed with a terminal illness. He call out a hit on himself to spare his partner Sofia Boutella.
After setting up the hit, he learns the diagnosis is wrong. He is just fine actually. That is all going to change, however, as he cannot cancel the hit.
The trailer, up at the start of this “head’s up,” looks very, very good. We will rush to see this one and find out if the movie is as entertaining as the film. Finger’s crossed, it will be a good one.
