Death and Other Details: part trois (three) is playing officially as a fast paced farce. It still features Rufus Cotesworth as narrator and investigator. *Mandy Patinkin wears the has-been detective like a comfortable old slipper.* In the third episode of this Christie-like murder mystery Interpol has arrived. Secrets appear from practically every corner.
Inspector Hilde Eriksen, played by Linda Emond, is the detective sent from the international cop shop. She is, apparently, Swedish (Norwegian, Danish?) the no nonsense investigator is the polar opposite of Cotesworth. They are working as a very unlikely team. *Her accent does evoke images of Swedes. (No Mac, they’re Norwegian. If you get this reference let us know at the end of the recap/review.)
The plot so far

Agent Eriksen is a “meat and potatoes” investigator who may not be overly fond of Rufus’ methods. Part trois of this farcical murder mystery shows tension mounting between the Chun Family and Anna. *Lauren Patten plays the high strung, and yet till to be announced, CEO of the company.
Cotesworth is still using Imogene (Violett Beane) as his new assistant after losing Keith. It is his death and “other details” that the young woman looks into.
Rufus and Erikson make a good team and discover all sorts of new facts. The company that Anna represents, a family concern, is broke. They also discover that the head of security Jules (Hugo Diego Garcia) is not who he claims to be.

We also learn that the “good Father” is not so good at all. There is also a question about an old invoice listing a banned substance. This cancer causing chemical could still be on board.
Last but not least, Rufus goes “on the wagon.”
All the Rest
Death and other Details Part Trois continues to deliver on the comedic murder mystery front. Using the old Agatha Christie format, this show gives us a menagerie of players who are eccentric and amusing.
Rufus in his partnership with not one but two investigators is juggling what he learns. Imogene gets in a spot of bother in the bowels of the ship and tension is mounting between the Chun family and Anna.
New episodes air Tuesdays on Hulu. Tune in for Patinkin and learn to love the rest of this outstanding cast.
