Timo Tjahjanto is sitting in the Nobody 2 (2025) “big chair” this time around, but hey? The gang’s all here! 87 Eleven, aka 87 North Action and the Mansell fam. Even grandad Mansell, Christopher Lloyd is back. Granted, Nobody (1 and 2) may not be to everyone’s taste, but if copious amounts of claret, aka blood, doesn’t disturb you; then this will be right up your alley.
Nobody 2 Story
Hutch Mansell takes a break to go on vacation with his family. His dad, wife and two kids all head to Plummerville, a place he has fond memories of. Typical Hutch, though, drops the entire family in the shizzle when he takes on the local villain, Lendina.

Let’s Talk Nobody 2
The moment I heard Tres Delinquentes by Delinquent Habits in the first reel of Nobody 2, I knew this was going to be a fun ride. The opening montage features “It’s the Good Life,” sung by Jose James. The point I’m making here, in my own roundabout fashion, is this; the music (Pun intended.) rocks.
The first time I heard Tres Delinquentes was in the 1998 South Korean comedy horror film; The Quiet Family. *If you want to listen to the rap without searching, it plays when the fam Mansell arrive at the water park, approximately 19 minutes and 35 seconds. If you are not familiar with this piece of music:
The music in this version of the Nobody verse is pretty eclectic. It ranges from olden goldies, like Cliff Richard and Summer Holiday, *Sadly, it is not the version with vocals from the cast of The Young Ones, but it is Cliff. Okay?* to When the Saints Come Marching in.
In terms of what helps to move this movie on? It is definitely the music.
It Works
The action sequences, the fights and the stunts are above top notch. 87 North Action proves just why they are counted among the best in the stunt world. Everything the stunt performers, and actors, do looks real and painful. So, music and stunts make this film go around.
All the cast, main and otherwise, are beyond impressive. Ortiz, whom I first saw in Bad Monkey, to Colin Salmon. All these actors walk the walk in this comedy action thriller. Kudos to the youngsters in this one.
Cadorath, Munroe and Hoyos all make their characters real and multi layered. Kudos to long term favourite Christopher Lloyd who commands audience attention whenever he is on screen.
The stunts here are what makes this film so much fun. Fight coordinator Kirk A. Jenkins along with Kyle Mclean and the rest of the stunt team, make this whole stunt heavy film look like a bloody and painful walk in the park.
Odenkirk, a few years younger than this critic, still makes his fights and stunts look pretty darn good, for an old feller.
A Few Cons
Some have complained that the film doesn’t really do anything new. I would beg to differ. The names are “bigger” in this version of Nobody-ville. Stone, as the Bond like villain kills it. Her M3gan dance moves are creepily disturbing and should the new “Bond,” ever get cast, the new owners of the Bondiverse should bring Stone onboard as a female “Blofeld.”
There have been charges levied that indicate Nobody 2 lacks the impact of the first film. Granted, there is more in the way of comedy and less in terms of “character growth” but that really is to be expected. This is not Shakespeare folks so run with the fun and enjoy this iteration of Nobody – world.
The Verdict
Nobody 2 earns a solid 4.5 stars out of 5. The comedy works, as does the action, and this is a lot of fun to watch. It is streaming on Peacock right now and can be rented via Prime. Check this one out and see what you think. Is it a go, or a no. Let us know.
