  1. Sad news. Ansara was in so many television shows and episodes I watched growing up that he became a personality steeped in my childhood. He will be sorely missed.

  2. I don’t normally reply to posts on JWMB or anywhere that say “RIP so and so”. Mike, you said “Dies Aged 91″. Now that is something I can relate to. ” REST IN PEACE” is something someone should say when a person is sick or upset about something……..Dying has nothing what soever to do to with “resting in peace”!

No matter what you believe in as to life after death, the end is the end, etc., “Rest in Peace” just doesn’t fit in anywhere! My way of dealing with death is imagining the dead one with their friends and people they loved who have left their bodies before them. Heck, I even say a line or two to them. Don’t know where “:RIP” came from but it has been around a long time……I sure as heck am not going to change it. But, have you ever really THOUGHT about it? One of the most ridiculous sayings we have, I would say.

Sorry Mike, don’t know why that came out here on your blog, except, you simply reported the death.

Well Michael, hope you are enjoying your western and non-western friends wherever you are. Your body is here…………but you are out there somewhere. Remember all the wonderful performances you gave us…..many of us are working hard to see that your legacy and those of many like you remain forever. KEITH
