While fans of Fast & Furious 7 were excited to hear Cody Walker alluding to his casting in the last Fast & Furious installment on his Facebook page, it turns out that the page is fake and is not confirmation of Walker’s stepping in for his late brother. The page, which was created on Dec. 16, 2013 is not verified and contains the cryptic short message that Cody will “see you soon” in F&F.
After Vin Diesel let the cat out of the bag about the new release date of Fast & Furious 7 via Facebook yesterday, Universal studios confirmed not only the 2015 premiere date change, but they say that the Paul Walker scenes are going to remain in the finished film. The film has been on an indefinite hiatus after the death of 40 year-old Walker on Nov. 30 this year.
While the world waits to see if Cody Walker will fill in for his late brother in Fast & Furious 7 Vin Diesel announced the film’s new premiere date. The actor/director posted the information on his verified Facebook page along with a picture of the last scene he filmed with the late actor Paul Walker. According to Diesel, the new premiere date for the latest in the franchise will be April 15, 2015. Setting the date back by nine months.
