The Walking Dead: So Long Emily Kinney and Moving On (Trailer)

So after a huge build up about the death of a major character in The Walking Dead season five was anyone really surprised that the show would be moving on and saying so long to Emily Kinney as Beth? Hints began back in season four when Beth was taken from Daryl after she gets out of the creepy walking dead filled funeral home in episode 13, Alone, her fate has been in question. Once season five started, it was revealed that she was in a hospital being held captive by the mentally screwed up Officer Dawn. Although to be honest, it looked like the girl was in danger of being beaten to death by the violence prone cop in charge before she was finally dispatched with a bullet to the head after stabbing Lerner with a pair of scissors in Sunday’s episode.

The Walking Dead’ Mid Season Finale: Hello Eugene Goodbye Beth

The Walking Dead’ Mid Season Finale: Hello Eugene Goodbye Beth

The Walking Dead midseason finale felt like a 1950s song title, “Hello Eugene, Goodbye Beth.” While not as catchy as “Hello Mary Lou, Goodbye Heart,” the idea is the same, Eugene showing up, albeit still unconscious or asleep, and Beth getting taken out at the episode’s end equalled loss of heart. As in broken. The wails of grief could be witnessed on Twitter as fans of the show all expressed their dismay that Maggie Greene’s younger sister was shot through the head after the tense trade off in the hospital corridor.

‘Z Nation’ Murphy’s Law: A Chatty Cathy (Recap and Review)

‘Z Nation’ Murphy’s Law: A Chatty Cathy (Recap and Review)

In this week’s episode of Z Nation: Murphy’s Law, aka “A Chatty Cathy,” Murphy is the center of attention when Warren and her group stumble upon a country club with a golf course and clubhouse full of “Zs.” While Roberta is mourning the loss of Addy and Mack, the saviour of humanity is excited at the prospect of hitting a few balls at the course. Cassandra asks if they will ever see the two missing members of their group and Warren says that her heart wants to think so, but her head tells her something different. Considering all the sounds of gunfire at the end of Sister’s of Mercy when Mack got out of the jeep, it is highly doubtful that he will be returning.

‘The Walking Dead’ Rick to the Rescue and Father Gabriel Runs

‘The Walking Dead’ Rick to the Rescue and Father Gabriel Runs

In this build up to the mid season finale of The Walking Dead, Rick rides out to the rescue and leaves Carl and Michonne, along with Judith, behind and Father Gabriel runs after prying up some floorboards in the church. Crossed, is a look at the four groups, Abraham, Maggie, Glenn, Eugene, Rosita and Tara are stuck with the fire engine and the sergeant is still sitting on his knees in the middle of the road, silent and angry. Rick takes Sasha, Daryl, Noah, and Tyrese to rescue Beth and Carol and this penultimate episode, before the mid season finale, is a great blend of suspense and discovery.

‘The Walking Dead’ Consumed: Carol on the Road to Redemption

‘The Walking Dead’ Consumed: Carol on the Road to Redemption

In Consumed, this week’s episode of The Walking Dead Carol continues on her long road to redemption. A journey that she began when Rick booted her out of the the group when she admitted to killing Karen and David. Even though the woman had noble intentions, she was trying to keep the flu thing from sweeping through the prison going so far as to burn the bodies, her act of stepping up to the challenge initially earned her Rick’s banishment and later she had to live with her decision. No doubt the woman felt she acted correctly “in the moment” but she was bothered by the act as shown in Consumed with her flashbacks.
