According to filmmaker Paul Feig Ghostbusters 3 is going to be Bridesmaids with ghosts. Of course the Bridesmaids director did not say that exactly, but he did tweet on Twitter that if he needed to call someone who is not afraid of “no ghosts,” it would be a bunch of funny women. Presumably like his cast on the 2011 female comedy, although he could have meant his 2013 film with Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock The Heat except that there are not enough players in that to fill Ghostbusters shoes.
It was no surprise that Sandra Bullock took home four People’s Choice trophies on Wednesday, January 8. The awards show aired on CBS and it was clear that the 49 year-old film star impressed everyone with her performance in Alfonso Cuarón’s space thriller Gravity. Her trophies were not just for her dramatic appearance opposite George Clooney against the backdrop of outer space, which she won Best Dramatic Actress for, she also won in three more categories.
Despite the fact that Sandra Bullock was not the first, or even fifth, choice for the role of Dr Ryan Stone, she seems to be hotly tipped to get another Oscar for her performance in Gravity. The first reviews for the Alfonso Cuaron film have been “out of this world.”
