Agents of SHIELD: Captain America Best Season Tie in Ever

Agents of SHIELD: Captain America Best Season Tie in Ever

Last night’s 16th episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was the episode that fans of the television show and big screen Marvel hero films had been waiting for; the Captain America tie in was the best ever. Of course it was pretty much sign posted in last week’s episode’s by the closing moments when it turned out that Agent May was keeping an eye on Agent Coulson and reporting on his actions.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Yes Men gives its audience another little glimpse of its big screen cousin, so to speak, by bringing in Lady Sif. This Asgardian warrior, who appeared in the film Thor, and briefly in the sequel Thor: The Dark World is played ably by actress Jaimie Alexander who does not allow the constraints of being on the smaller screen interrupt her channeling of this strong female character. It does seem to be the show’s trump card; pulling in characters from the larger screen verse of Marvel.

Episode 13 of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., aptly titled T.R.A.C.K.S., was a nice change in pace with its Stan Lee cameo and even some tears by the show’s end. Unfortunately, however entertaining it was to see good old Stan “the man” Lee and the resurgence of the show’s “big bad” the Clairvoyant, aka the mysterious head of Centipede; the show still hasn’t picked up much in the way of pace.
