Miss America 2015: Panty Shot Biggest Scandal of the Contest

What a difference a year makes, the 2015 Miss America pageant’s biggest scandal of the contest was Miss Nebraska’s “panty shot” when the low camera angle picked up on Megan Swanson and her less than graceful sitting position and the unfortunate contestant flashed the viewing audience and the judges. The young lady immediately started trending on Twitter and unlike last year’s competition, this has been the biggest “upset” of the evening.

Miss America 2014 Won by Foul Mouthed Miss New York Nina Davuluri

Somewhat amazingly the 24 year-old foul mouthed contestant Miss New York Nina Davuluri has won the 2014 Miss America pageant. The new Miss America comes from Syracuse, New York and this is the second year in a row that Miss New York has won the crown. Mallory Hagan, who was crowned in the 2013 beauty pageant was also from New York.

Things have certainly changed in the world of Miss America. While we have not seen any scandals along the lines of Vanessa Williams’ nude photographic spread that toppled her crown back in 1984, but the pageant has caused some controversy.
