Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in this winter finale episode, What They Become pulled out all the stops and made this well worth waiting for. There were some pretty amazing moments in the show where Skye (aka Daisy) finally mets poppa, The Doctor (aka Cal), Raina meets her destiny, Phil Coulson performs some kick-a** moves and Skye gives Grant Ward what he deserves. Last week’s episode left off with HYDRA coming after May and the bus. The female agent proves why she is the pilot when she outmaneuvers the baddies and their missiles.
Last week in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. former agent Grant Ward escaped and in this week’s episode, The Writing on the Wall, the team try to recapture Ward and Phil Coulson must track down a group of agents who were also injected with the alien GH.325 serum who are being killed off one by one. At the start of the show, a man enters an apartment with a woman that he has met. She says he looks familiar and as she attempts to figure out where they have met before, the man tells her that they do know each other. As he unbuttons his shirt, she sees the pattern tattooed on his chest, that matches the design that Coulson keeps carving and the tattooed man tells the woman that he will help her remember as she begins screaming.
The underlying themes in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this week deal with the traitorous Ward and matters of family. Ward’s, Skye’s, SHIELD’s and Hunter’s former family member via marriage, Agent Morse aka the Hellbeast. The show opens with an attack on the United Nations with Whitehall’s HYDRA agents masquerading as SHIELD they kill a number of delegates and injure General Talbot. Amazingly, Talbot defends Coulson’s group against Christian Ward, the senator brother of Grant, and before the end of the episode, it appears that the general is a firm supporter of the spy organization.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Making Friends and Influencing People begins with Agent 33 (Maya Stojan) being held by HYDRA and she is fighting the brainwashing program that Dr. Whitehall is patiently applying. When the former S.H.I.E.L.D. operative says that there is no way that she will ever work for HYDRA, the doctor says that he expected the night to be long one.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had one of the best season finales in 2014 and they had some awesome live tweeting during the show and to top it off, Samuel L. Jackson made another brilliant appearance as Nick Fury to help save the day. One of the best parts of watching the finale was, interestingly enough, the live tweets. Fans of the show and @AgentsofSHIELD kept the Twitter feed jumping with popular posts being almost continually retweeted and favorited by the more zealous fans on the microblogging site.
