The Walking Dead: So Long Emily Kinney and Moving On (Trailer)

So after a huge build up about the death of a major character in The Walking Dead season five was anyone really surprised that the show would be moving on and saying so long to Emily Kinney as Beth? Hints began back in season four when Beth was taken from Daryl after she gets out of the creepy walking dead filled funeral home in episode 13, Alone, her fate has been in question. Once season five started, it was revealed that she was in a hospital being held captive by the mentally screwed up Officer Dawn. Although to be honest, it looked like the girl was in danger of being beaten to death by the violence prone cop in charge before she was finally dispatched with a bullet to the head after stabbing Lerner with a pair of scissors in Sunday’s episode.

The Walking Dead’ Mid Season Finale: Hello Eugene Goodbye Beth

The Walking Dead midseason finale felt like a 1950s song title, “Hello Eugene, Goodbye Beth.” While not as catchy as “Hello Mary Lou, Goodbye Heart,” the idea is the same, Eugene showing up, albeit still unconscious or asleep, and Beth getting taken out at the episode’s end equalled loss of heart. As in broken. The wails of grief could be witnessed on Twitter as fans of the show all expressed their dismay that Maggie Greene’s younger sister was shot through the head after the tense trade off in the hospital corridor.

In this build up to the mid season finale of The Walking Dead, Rick rides out to the rescue and leaves Carl and Michonne, along with Judith, behind and Father Gabriel runs after prying up some floorboards in the church. Crossed, is a look at the four groups, Abraham, Maggie, Glenn, Eugene, Rosita and Tara are stuck with the fire engine and the sergeant is still sitting on his knees in the middle of the road, silent and angry. Rick takes Sasha, Daryl, Noah, and Tyrese to rescue Beth and Carol and this penultimate episode, before the mid season finale, is a great blend of suspense and discovery.

The Walking Dead Strangers: Bob and Food for Thought

After watching The Walking Dead: Strangers episode last night and then re-watching, as it was recorded on DVR, there was something about Bob and the one-sided conversation he was having with Gareth that provided something more than chills as the Terminus survivors nibbled on Stookey’s leg, pardon the pun, but the whole interaction provided a bit of food for thought. Of course there were many questions that needed answering by the end of this episode of The Walking Dead.
