The Walking Dead midseason finale felt like a 1950s song title, “Hello Eugene, Goodbye Beth.” While not as catchy as “Hello Mary Lou, Goodbye Heart,” the idea is the same, Eugene showing up, albeit still unconscious or asleep, and Beth getting taken out at the episode’s end equalled loss of heart. As in broken. The wails of grief could be witnessed on Twitter as fans of the show all expressed their dismay that Maggie Greene’s younger sister was shot through the head after the tense trade off in the hospital corridor.
‘The Walking Dead’ Daryl and Noah to the Rescue (Review)
In this week’s episode of The Walking Dead: Consumed, Carol joined Daryl to go and find Beth, or at least learn what has happened to her, and by the end of the episode it looks like it will be Noah who walks out of the bushes when the show converges to the point where Michonne confronted Mr. Dixon in the bushes outside the cowardly Reverend Gabriel’s church. Taking a moment to look dispassionately at this season’s events and its trio of storylines, which are pretty much occurring at the same time in the verse at this point, are all putting the characters through the grinder. Rick’s group have been left pretty much alone while The Walking Dead has followed the journeys of Abraham’s group and Beth’s.
The Walking Dead Finale and Barbecued Beth?
The Internet is awash with articles about last night’s The Walking Dead finale and whether or not that plate of barbecued meat was the remnants of missing Beth. Admittedly, it is easier to expect the worst possible scenario whenever a major character goes missing. Especially when said character has had some sort of personal epiphany and grows because of it.
The Walking Dead Season Finale: A Reckoning
The Walking Dead Season four finale, A was a reckoning all right, just as Joe promised. Unfortunately things don’t go as they should for just about everyone in this week’s show. After watching the sneak preview at the end of last week’s episode, Us, fans of the show were shown a blood drenched Rick sitting and he appeared to be shaken. This one clip, along with the Twitter rumor mill that was going full blast, put fans in gore mode and they readied themselves for the possibility that at least one main character was going to be dispatched. Messily.
Last night’s episode of The Walking Dead finally allowed viewers a glimpse of the sanctuary of Terminus and in Us this end of the line destination looks deadly. Whether it’s the deserted look of the place, where the paint looks barely dry and the whole compound seems eerily like the Marie Celeste, or the solitary woman who greets the group. Granted there is this lone female who is there to welcome the first of the survivors to enter, but her calm acceptance of these potential new members to Terminus feels about a ersatz as powdered eggs.
