Captain America The Winter Soldier No Politics Please?

Captain America The Winter Soldier No Politics Please?

At least one journalist has decided that Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a politics heavy “message-film” aimed at President Obama, a sad assumption that forgets who sat in the White House prior to the current oval office resident; no small feat by any standards but it must please no end of republicans. Does the film’s agenda include a sly, or overt, poke at government? Most assuredly it does. However it is not necessarily this presidency the film warns of.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. a Black Widow Cameo Would Make Sense

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. a Black Widow Cameo Would Make Sense

After reading a superlative article by Lucy O’Brien over at IGN, which gave five really good reasons for the Black Widow to have her own spin-off film, it seems now would be great time for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to have Natasha Romanoff do a cameo; it would just make sense. This would be the opportune moment to stop reading if you have not watched either Captain America: The Winter Soldier or last Tuesday’s S.H.I.E.L.D. episode.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Turn Turn Turn and Twist

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Turn Turn Turn and Twist

Okay, I have to say, that this week’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Turn, Turn, Turn really should not have come as a surprise, the twist at the end…The double twist that is? I should have seen it coming. How many times has Bill Paxton played a variation on the same role. Sure he was a good guy in the 1996 film Twister, but before that he was the obnoxious Pvt. Hudson in Aliens, the horrific Severen in Near Dark in 1987 and the first thing I ever saw him in; Paxton was boogery big brother Chet in Weird Science. Bill Paxton, for the most part, equals either bad guy or a**hole type character who is so annoying that even the audience want to shoot him.
